Re: Saturday Kitchen
Likewise HH.
Aaah a bit of history.
It dates back to when the BBC food board had separate sections with a dedicated TV programme board.
In the mists of time there was a sudden influx of James Martin fans. I can't remember exactly as I was taking a break from the Beeb at the time, but have an idea that he had his own site with a board which closed? someone will be able to correct that if I'm wrong.
Anyway all of a sudden there was a big groundswell of 'fangirls' as you might say, who wouldn't have a word said against him and took offence quite easily.
On the other hand there were a number of us who don't care for him and it seemed as though a line was drawn.
It's not the Yorkshire aspect, I was brought up by my Granny who was Yorkshire/Scots

Hi HH, I think you are definitely a "martini"
As has been said he is a bit like marmite. Must admit I prefer him now he is not such a pretty boy, although I'm afraid I still find him annoying.

Re: Saturday Kitchen
Bit early but on this one occasion .....
Did somebody mention James Martian?
Yes, lots of fan were opening lots of thread every Saturday.
I think it started when they closed the webchat down. Remember when the chefs would chat live after the show for 1hr30 (and get abuse from trolls every 2nd message).
They pulled it and lots of fans flooded the messageboard hoping to get an answer from James - who never ever showed up.
