My.France.with.Manu
one of the judges that i love to hate from my kitchen rules AUS has a 2 part series
http://au.tv.yahoo.com/plus7/my-france-with-manu/
watched the first part and the guy (manu feildel) comes across as a decent ,life like human being and not to pompous bastard you see on MKR tho i suspect that some of that may be generated in whole or part for TV. I might even want to go out and have a beer with him when he is not around a restaurant kitchen....
his adventures started around brittany and it was really good i thought... tho who use a VPN might want to try and check it out or scour the tv blogs, you might find it there....
he was at his old primary school and did some cooking with some children and made a type of gateau (a yogurt pot cake) and as he said easy as 1-2-3-4.....
here is the tv version
1 pot of yogurt (plain perhaps) (say like a 5 or 6 oz size and use the pot for the rest of the recipe) (similiar to nigellas but better listing of ingredients)
2 cups sugar
3 eggs
4 cups of flour (i was figuring all purpose)
1/2 cup oil
baking powder (they used 1 sachet from a red-ish/pink-ish coloured sachet)....weight was not mentioned...would it be safe to figure a 15g size??
***upon further checking, it might be this---
http://www.ooshop.com/courses-en-ligne/ ... IDFO=63212 (11g sachets)
wisked together and put into what looked like a greased cake tin and cooked for 30 mins tho what temp was NOT mentioned
there were many other tasty things he did as well...i hope somewhere they will post recipes for what he....
looking forward to part 2

Have all Aussie chefs gone to France?
I've been watching Luc Nguyen's France, very interesting
