'Weekend Kitchen with Waitrose'
New 12-part series starts tomorrow on C4 9:00-10am, with Steve Jones (?) & Lisa Snowdon (?) I'm recording it.

Re: 'Weekend Kitchen with Waitrose'
Brand-funded programming rings warning bells in my head as a bridge too far given it's not being promoted as teleshopping TV. As ever, I'll have to watch it first to see whether "Other supermarkets are available" figures in it. This goes a bit beyond sponsorship and occasional product placement to me, but must be within the rules.
Other supermarkets probably wish they'd just got there first. Does this herald: "One day all programmes will be like this."?

wasnt there something similar quite awhile back (2013 i think) that featured a guest chef (i recall Rachel allen amongst others) that was from waitrose, either on itv or ch4....some decent recipes i will say in that series

There was a similar program with Sainsburys a while back.

Re: 'Weekend Kitchen with Waitrose'
I must have missed the earlier series. No complaints about this programme as no mention of Waitrose and I only noticed one branded item. The recipes no doubt focus on their products, but that's not really a bad thing as at least you know where the ingredients can be obtained.
Guest chef Jean Christophe Novelli particularly stressed his view that it was unnecessary to use salt. I wonder if he could be nabbed by the Beeb for Masterchef
