Too many food programmes on t'telly?
They're wall to wall these days, to the extend that I have become sick of them. However the "Little Paris Kitchen" one had some interesting ideas.

No, I say get rid of all the football and replace it with cooking.

Not too many food programmes, just not enough decent ones
The gong has been struck, time to eat
Re: Too many food programmes on t'telly?
I love football and cookery programmes
I do think some long running food programmes either need a massive overhaul, or to be rested for a while.

Ain't that the truth! I caught about half-an-hour of the Saturday Cookbook this morning with Nadia Sawalha and Mark Sargeant and I enjoyed it. It's more fun than Saturday Kitchen and looks fresher... but it probably won't look fresh in a month or two. It's nice seeing a couple of presenters who look natural in front of the camera, though.
Re: Too many food programmes on t'telly?
I started a thread on the programme Tats (Saturday Cookbook) as I really enjoyed it. I particularly like the fact that everyone in the studio is fully involved.
As it's a series of 21 programmes hopefully it will stay good all the way through.
SK suffers, in my opinion, from over exposure, if it's not actually on, we're watching its 'best bits' and now repeats on Sundays too

This is the best one...if you haven't seen it before, make sure that you are not eating or drinking in your best room....

I don't watch Simon Rimmer either, but do record Sat Kitchen & whizz through to the interesting bits with the guest chefs.
But gird your loins! ....... BBC2 have announced a raft of new shows scheduled for the summer.
Nigella, Ken Hom with Ching in China, Rick Stein goes to India, The Hairy Dieters are hoping to lose weight, & The Great British Bake Off is back! That'll do for me.

"Gok Wan cooks Chinese"?
I'm looking forward to the sister presentation, "Ken Hom wears excessive glasses and flirts camply with fat ladies".
