Prague

Postby Meena » Mon Oct 29, 2012 10:26 pm

Have given my husband his first (of many) birthday presents today (he is 40 on 8th November), we are going on a mini break to Prague on Thursday for 3 days!!!

Any tips for places to see and more importantly places to eat?!

I went to Prague for my 40th funnily enough and loved it

This means that any recommendations I might have are well out of date (except that you could spend the whole three days on Castle Hill)

Even if you aren't beer fans you need to go to one of the brew pubs they have just for the atmosphere

We were told before we went that Prague would not be veg friendly (my companion was veggie) but he didn't have ot much trouble - it's not a huge issue in a country were the two best qualit foods in the house are always going to be the bread and the cheese, and they don't mind you picking say two starters and two sides and ignoring the mains, and ther was a good veggie restuarant that I think is no more

I usually find the Time Out Guides helpful for short breaks
