Allotment progress
We took on an allotment at the start of this year - basically 5 rods of thick brambles that hadn't been cultivated for about 25 years.
My partner has been blogging his (huge) efforts - thought it might be of interest to those of you out there who take on something that looks impossible at first sight - he suffers from sciatica so specialist tools have been used in the process.
My involvment? I've planted some seeds, but he's done all the hard work!!

Nice looking plot, and I like the size. You can tell that a lot of hard work has gone into that.

Hi GW
Really recommend the Azada that he used if you have issues getting up and down - we've bought a second 'lady sized' one for me after using the big one for the heavy work - I'm not very mobile as I'm too large to get up and down, and it saves a lot of bending!
our poly tunnels were from the 99p shop

Thanks gull, my kid brother comes over at the weekends to plant and weed , as long as I can stand up and hold on to the handles of the mower or tiller I can still contribute.

Morning Gardeners.
Here's our potager.

Neither M nor I can do heavy digging - so we have a secret weapon. He is called Ahmed, a lovely Moroccan who turns over the plot each year so we can save backs knees and legs and get on with the finer work!

Looks like beautiful soil OG! Lets hope we get some warm weather soon.
Joan, your pottager looks very productive! Is that sunshine I see? I vaguely remember what it feels like
