Can't stand French toast so not for me - but the way of cooking the mushrooms with balsamic sounds good
The proportions of milk.bread, mushrooms seem a bit odd to me - 150 g mushrooms (about 6 ounces) is not a lot when cooked

I agree that 150g of mushrooms doesn't seem anywhere near enough to serve four people, I could eat that all by myself as a substantial lunch.
I like plain French toast with a couple of slices of crispy bacon on top & a smidge of HP sauce. The recipe does sound tasty - but I'd prefer the mushrooms served on toasted bread instead.

I guess it depends how/when you're serving them Mark.
Is it for breakfast, a snacky lunch, or a casual dinner maybe with a dessert to follow - for adults/children ?
How about trying it out for yourself first - then you can quantify how many more you'll need to serve the others.
