I've always been served nuts, hilight of the meal quite often. Last few times they were a nice mix of pecans, macadamia, hazel and Brazil.... not a peanut in sight.

Airline Vegetarian Food? Never heard of it!
When I was flying frequently ( american hairlines), the surly, peremptory Air Hostesses would just ask: "Steak or Parsta?" and if you didn't reply within a New York Minute, you got nothing.
I assume that hasn't changed much.

Finally had a sort of reply from BA to say that it is not possible to tick two boxes when ordering special meals. Soooo if you are, for instance, coeliac and have a nut allergy or possibly only eat Kosher food there is no hope other than to take your own food - so I have asked them if one did would there be a reduction in the fare ?
