Very odd that posh goose fat is being sold cheaper than butter in Tesco.

£1 for 220g is equivalent to £1.14 for 250g when butter is currently £1.45.

Shame goose isn't cheaper than chicken.

Might have to pop into Tesco, mine has :balls been hanging round a while

What amused me was in the product details:-
Number of uses
22

Not listed, do they include greasing channel swimmers? Making ointment?

The opposite of Waitrose who used to label things apparently with the intention of minimising sales
So Seville oranges were only for marmalade (marinades and orangeade apparently not allowed) and celeriac for mash alone (is my remoulade off limits?)

Channel swimmers don't grease anymore. No idea why. I'll ask daughter next time we speak.

Stories from Home Alone.

OH has been away, Yorkshire with daughter and friends to visit the knitting and stitching show.

I'd formed a rough idea of what to eat for the week. Wednesday, fishmongers, lovely looking plaice fillets, that'll do. Home alone, unwrapped the bag at tea time, I'd bought two! As I usually do.

Couple of days later, getting a few bits in Waitrose, in the yellow sticker section was a Beef Lasagne ready meal. It was only when I got it home I realized it was a low fat one. Can't understand a dish which had so much salt and sugar could taste of, well nothing! :?:

I sleep on one pillow. Thus every morning of my solitude, I made the bed with just one pillow. OH, back last night, made the bed today and seven pillow/cushions are displayed. The earth did not stop spinning with only one pillow. Strange. :?:

Last year when OH was away, I did some washing and managed to lose two of my socks – thus in my sock drawer are two odd socks. Still haven't found their partners.

They will turn up in a year or so immediately after you have thrown out the odd socks. This is a law of the universe.

Or with the lost suitcases that are orbiting the rings of Saturn.

I found a missing lipstick the other day
It was in a suspension file of car documents (I haven't had a car for a couple of years) in the bottom drawer of my desk :?

I deduce it fell out of my bag when it was on the desk to get out a credit card or phone :D

Remember Douglas Adams suggested there must be a planet somewhere in the universe populated by "biroid life forms" that had slipped tgrough wormholes in the universe?

I put on last year's long jacket/ dress.
And it had 3 old pound coins in the pocket.

I have old stuff in the loft which could potentially have pound NOTES in the pockets!

I bet you can't see the sofa for cushions either...

I've never seen the point of cushions.

Cushions are a necessity if you are short (like me) and like your feet to touch the ground when sitting on a sofa or armchair! :)

Nice one Sakkers   ! The only snag is that I am also a bit disabled so I'd need a crane to lift me out of it. The wing chair looks more comfortable, albeit in a Humphrey and Godfrey characters from the Two Ronnies kind of way.

How wonderful, Sakkarin, but just look at all those queues! It is possible that more eating places will apply for awards, which will get the queues down!

Stuck for Christmas Prezzie ideas? For thirteen hundred quid, I'd EXPECT them to be impressively detailed feet...

I'm afraid they're not joining my collection of S+P pots.

Seems a bit pointless pretending they were grown in an English-countrysidey-sounding farm when the country of origin is clearly labelled "Morocco".
