Re: Using the new board
If you mean have new replies come in, then on the forum page listing threads, ones with new posts are highlighted green until you read them. Might need to refresh the page periodically as I'm not sure how instantaneous (or not) the colour change is updated for new posts.
Re: Using the new board
@ efcliz. Yes, click on (or right mouse click to open in a new window) your username on any post in which it's underlined. In the window that opens, see Total posts and the clickable link "Search user's posts" which brings them up.
That's the same as doing it through User control Panel - gives a list of posts, not of threads posted in.
Re: Using the new board
Well, it gives the thread title at the top of each post you've made as a clickable link. As mentioned, the two ways I know of are (a) click on the link and see if anything has happened since your post, or check the forum listing and see if a thread you've posted to has "gone green" after doing a refresh. That's all I can offer I'm afraid.
Re: Using the new board
This is your list efcliz. If you refresh, this thread should have "gone green". Going green doesn't mean you've posted to it, just that new posts have arrived that you haven't read. search.php?author_id=171&sr=posts
Re: Using the new board
Yes, thanks. I have seen that list and was aware of it when I asked the initial question. What I was hoping for was a link to View Your Posts, which I know to be available in the pHpBB software Sakkarin is using, because it does give a list to THREADS posted in, not posts, which is a different thing. It's only a small thing, and doesn't matter in the grand scheme of things, but I use quite a few pHpBB boards and I always use that option as a navigation tool.

Re: Using the new board
What I'm trying to remember to do is click on the "notify me when a reply is posted" under the reply box.
Gives me emails when something is occurring, it sort of subscribes you.

Re: Using the new board
Hi EFCliz, can you point me at a (phpbb) board that does use it, and explain where on the page it is.
Re: Using the new board
Trying again.
Oh and discovered a message muyst contain 20 characters... but sometimes it's good to just say "I AGREE" or as I tried, "TRYING AGAIN".

The main one I use is PPK http://forum.theppk.com/index.php but also Wildfood. Obviously you have to have accounts and be logged in to see it. I think different themes have it in different places but it's always on the top somewhere (on WF it's on the third row down)
Thanks Sakkarin.
Re: Using the new board
Ah, it must be theme dependent, Sakkarin. Changing to the same theme used by WF brings back my "View Your Posts". I'd prefer to keep separate themes (I use another private board that has the same theme as WF, and it is already too confusing!) but I'll stick with this one for now. Thanks.
Re: Using the new board
Gotcha.
Just above the Sakkarin link on the left, click the blue "Search" button, and several options appear, including the one you want at the bottom.

Re: Using the new board
ICQ is/was the original instant messenger. It's now part of AOL's product base I believe (AOL messenger shares a backend with ICQ messenger). And Sakkarin is correct in thinking that it's a portmanteau of "I Seek You".
