Size of tin needed
For the attached recipe from veggie magazine, what size cheesecake/tart tin would you guys recommend?? Not listed in recipe. That would give 4 to 6 portions.
What about a 15cm and cut it up into 6 pieces. Or too thick a slice??
Thank you guys!!!
Re: Size of tin needed
I see that the recipe is one of Dale Pinnock's and I've just looked up a similar recipe and I would say to use a tin about the size you mentioned and no larger than 23cm. One of Dale's recipes uses the same amount for the base, but far more ingredients for the filling and he uses a 23cm tin. Can you get all those ingredients where you live?
As for cutting it up, you will be able to choose the size of slice that you want.

Re: Size of tin needed
As it's not being cooked the tin size isn't quite as important, but I think I'd use a 20cm (8inch) tin for the first go, and then see what you think of the depth and proportions of each layer. If it looks too thin, try a smaller tin next time. If the base is too thick, use a larger tin.
'serving 4-6' doesn't suggest anything larger than 20cm to me.

The blog which does what it says on the tin:

Alot of what i would need i could get thru amazon.com, i believe on or two things from walmart.com. the avocados and orange thru local grocery store.
So what i came up with
Cost for the crust ingredients (bought small pkgs as this was for home) $38.99/cost for amount needed per recipe. '$7.081
For for filling ingredients (". ". ". ". )$56.88/cost for mount needed per recipe. $14.5476
Cost of tart. $21.6286. 4 sevings. $5.40715. 6 servings. $3.60476667
