Interesting link, Renee.

Thanks for the pics, Petronius. You did well.
Funny about the size of the flapjacks.

We took a walk to the Bath Road 2mins away at the weekend, and Tony said it's nice to buy local.
We have 2 butchers, a fish man 2 days a week, a natural grocery store, 2 bakers, froot and veg shop. Etc etc.

If I need Himalayan salt or Japanese produce, I can get that at the independent nat grocery store.
I don't know how it keeps going to be honest. 2 or 3 shoppers when you go in.

Borough Market is not over hyped, Sakkarin.
It is indeed a great place to visit. I go there if my husband is at a conference.

There's a surprising lot to see at chilli festivals. They rock!

We're the same Gill, though it's about ten minutes walk; three delis, butcher, greengrocer, fishmonger and health food shop plus three supermarkets. Which is why we don't usually buy from the Food Festival, but this year was quite different and we do want our local producers to survive as well.

Sakkarin, I assumed producers were pricing to attract people to their web sites and outlets - however, Wookey Hole Caved Aged Cheddar £14.95 in the photo or £13.58 on their web site.

Mmmm.

The deli we use most charges £18.00.

Didn't realise you live in Wellington. In a previous life I spent a lot of time there, my ex's mum lives there! It's a nice little town.
