So sorry to hear of the accident, but it seems you got off relatively lightly in terms of injuries and had excelkent help

The increase in stiffness is probably linked to the development of the bruising, it will fade. I know I've always been stiffer on the second day after an injury, though I've never done anything so spectacular!

If it's any consolation, in the days when I still went horseriding, but not often, it was always "the day after the day after" that I was the most stiff and sore.
Hope things are beginning to ease and you're more able to relax very soon.

Thanks for that link Deb - I rather fancy the lemon and oregano traybake. I'm feeling much better now, still very bruised but that will go. Although I'm still stiff too, I'm getting around much more easily. I eventually told my sister and she's coming over tomorrow and we shall be going shopping. We're also going to collect what's left of my belongings from the recovery garage as my car has been written off. Again, many thanks to you all for your good wishes and for taking the time to make suggestions - my repertoire has certainly been extended and I'm sure I'll carry on using your recipes.

You'll be walking a bit, no doubt. As the car has gone to that graveyard garage in the sky.
That should lift the body and soul a bit. It's beautiful out there at the moment.

Unfortunately I have mobility problems and I live at the bottom of a steep hill (plus no public transport) so walking is out for me. The weather's been pretty horrible here too. I've spent all day looking at cars and have narrowed it down to 8. The one I prefer though is about 130 miles from home but my sis has said that she might be able to take me. If not, I'll hire a car for the day. We didn't go for a coffee and cake yesterday - it was fish and chips here http://www.bannys.co.uk/ - we could hardly walk at all when we came out! We also went to collected my belongs from the recovery garage - rather sad.
