I have no idea what to do for St Valentine's Day this year.
Karneval is early :birthday-dancer and St Valentine's will be on Ash Wednesday.

Now, I am not a Catholic, but it seems odd to go to town food and drinkwise on such a day.
So far I've made sexy cakes and biscuits for the day, but this year I find it hard to come up with something novel. Perhaps sexy Berliners??? On Ash Wednesday? :wino

£7.50 is about €6.20 Alexandria.

You also need to know that Greggs started as a local family baker in the town in NE England where I grew up. They took over from the artisanal local bakers and were the first to introduce mechanisation.

In the last 50 years or so they have become a nationalwide chain and sell mass produced and generally very unhealthy snack type foods. Their cheese pasties are "famous"

Not something I would appreciate being offered by my dearly beloved on Valentine's Day

Hi all,

Hope everyone is well :) Long time no see!

This year will definitely be an eating out for Valentines day, event. As we have no kitchen at all at the moment, not even an oven (Hopefully have my brand new fully functioning, all singing, all dancing kitchen next week!).

We are heading to Baxaturi, a Pincho's place in Ramsbottom for a few nibbles and some wine. We are not really a "Valentines" couple, so we never do anything too flashy.

At current exchange rate of 1.13€ to the pound, £7.50 is actually about 8.50€

Welcome back, WFF! Coincidentally, I was thinking only yesterday that you hadn't posted for a while.

You are absolutely correct I was converting the wrong way round. I just don't think in £s any more.
