Frozen Pearl Onions; Picard at Ocado

Postby jeral » Wed Apr 04, 2018 9:07 pm

As plain (unpickled) pearl onions are like hens' teeth, Ocado shoppers (like me) might like these:

Incidentally, the range of Picard frozen stuff offered is impressive. I'd buy most of it, well if it were half the price.

Pearl onions (except pickled) aren't listed at other supermarkets according to Mysupermarket.co.uk nor are on Amazon grocery, so still rare hens' teeth.

I tweeted Saturday Ktchen when Michel Roux used frozen pearl onions asking why he always used things not available retail?
SK replied that they were available, but as I have no intention of using Ocado they aren't available to me in in practice.

There have been suggestions of Picard shops within shops in either Iceland or Waitrose.

I wish

I couldn't live without Picard well I could, of course but not as happily. Our local branch has just issued a loyalty card and the offers and discounts are very worthwhile M has addiction to their coconut ice cream which comes in half coconut shells.
