Non Alcoholic Creme de Menthe

Over Easter my daughter bought a bottle of glacial creme de menthe - then declared it disgusting after one taste of it.

The upshot is now we have a full bottle of this blue syrup to use.

Anyone know of any uses for it

I believe you can make some cocktails with it...

Hmmmm. It's probably fine with lemonade and ice.

Or a shot of tequila to liven it up.

Cooking, you could use it up in a usual minty way, like an Indian yoghurt mint and spicy marinade for lamb?
Or optional extra into cakes.
I use vanilla extract in a lot of biscuit recipes, just adding a tablesp into the mix.

Might work with your mint "extract".

I like the lamb idea - I was actually thinking fo putting it in peppemint creams.

But I like the tequila idea - but then again I love tequila

The sirop de creme de menthe i hsve had has been very much like toothpaste - I wouldn't risk it with lamb! Lamb & Colgate mmmmm

To be honest, I think the stuff is pretty much marmite like, either you like it or hate it

Personally, i don't like it, but peppermint creams might be possible, as might cocktails

If it is non-alcoholic, could you make crème de menthe ice cream... maybe with chocolate chips? It's almost the season for ice cream...

Ages ago I recall coming across a roast lamb joint recipe using creme de menthe, presumably this might work as non-alcoholic version?
