Re: Raw food treats
Good morning, Jaybird and welcome.
As Renee says, that's an excellent price. Bakery ingredients are a terrible cost in the supermarket these days.

Re: Raw food treats
Thanks for the welcome Gill & Renee, glad that I found this board.
I have now made the lemony bars, lovely taste. I didn't have enough dates so used about a third apricots instead. I used less salt than the recipe said, just under a teasp. I used ground almonds (Aldi are selling them cheaper than the cost of buying them whole & grinding them).
My dates were a bit hard, as were the apricots so I mixed a little water in with them & left for a day in the fridge. They were then very soft. So the mixture turned out really sticky and didn't firm up very well. However they tasted so good that DH, DS, me and a guest made short work of them.
I will be making them again, maybe mix some oats in with them next time.

Re: Raw food treats
Raw food has more nutrition value than cooked food. Raw food is good for diet and helps in weight lose. I suggest everyone to eat raw food for getting so many health benefits.
