Re: Pancakes
I've got pancakes ready for tonight - because we always have some on Shrove Tuesday. However my neighbour popped in with some orielettes (little ears) which are the tradition here.
I was taught how to make them when we first came here by my dearly loved late neighbour. They are a bit of a faff for just the two of us but in case you fancy trying:

Re: Pancakes
Well, the pancake and other flat food party was great
My Staffordshire oatcakes with cheese saviury filling turned out to be a match made in heaven (phew) and were apprecuated
We also had a special Neapolitan Shrove Tuesday Lasagne, an Italian crispbread with dios, and Korean pacakes with home made kimchi
Then dessert, two pancake cakes, one fruit and cream, one chocolate, and some little Danish Shrove Tuesday pastry buns with cream. Some other bits and pieces
Stuffed as a rolled pancake myself

Re: Pancakes
We had pancakes with an orange and marmalade sauce, the latter was a special orange, lemon and whisky one which was in Mr Strictly's hamper from his workplace. It was absolutely gorgeous, so much so that I'm going to have to make some more next week. I am currently eating the sacrificial-but-too-good-throw-away one with some blackcurrant jam on it. I've also made some toast as the pancake was a diddy one due to the batter being a bit too thick for crepes.
